RECENT WORK
Productivity measurement and productivity improvement. In March 2008, CRADLE Associate Mrs. J. E. Otu, Ph.D., with assistance from CRADLE, delivered an invited paper entitled: “Productivity measurement and productivity improvement in Nigeria” at a symposium organized by the National Productivity Centre at the Federal Secretariat in Calabar, Nigeria. Mrs. Otu’s paper which was hailed as a brilliant analysis of obstacles to productivity growth and compass towards new (social, economic and political) directions for increasing productivity promises to stimulate new programmes in this sub-field in Nigeria.
Improvement of organizational effectiveness. In February, CRADLE’s Executive Director was invited by the Management Development Institute in Calabar to lecture the institute’s senior staff on new strategies for improving organizational effectiveness through envisioning, identification and strengthening of mission and concepts.
